Play Rugby USA Breakfast

Innovation through Sport: A Better World through Rugby

Friday May 13, 2011 at The Fairmont Hotel, San Francisco

An interactive breakfast special with Mark Griffin, Founder and President of Play Rugby USA - an innovative national youth development program with a global vision of creating a "Better World through Rugby". As a former National Team player and banker, Mark switched career tracks in 2006 to combine his passions of rugby & education with his interest and experience in business and entrepreneurship. Play Rugby USA was the result - a social enterprise with a transformative mission of "Developing Youth through Rugby". Having served 10,000 kids across 4 cites the program has proven its ability to scale and now undertakes a 3 year national replication initiative. The program helps to avert millions of dollars of public treatment costs associated with two of America's largest threats to a sustainable future - obesity and student delinquency. In addition to discussing the effective application of business models for sustainable social impact, enjoy an interactive quiz and an opportunity to win a VIP package to the USA 7's in Vegas next February.
